This Suri-Bachi, or Japanese Mortar, is an earthenware mortar with radial grooves.
Crush and grind with ease to your desired texture, from coarse to fine. Unlike the food processor, mortar does not generate heat and brings out the natural aroma and flavors of the ingredients.
Comes with a wooden pestle, which is durable enough to grind the ingredients but gentle enough to protect the mortar.
